    Falling

    Picture this:

trapped between  the moon and earth but still falling,

falling on my own, falling for so long.

As I said in the previous post it’s been a while since my last musical project came out. When I started to get back on working for the “Summer Transformee” mixtape, I was diggin for some new music when I stepped into this dope song of Simon Jefferis – Falling feat. Riki.

Instantly I knew it was a perfect match for the mixtape but there was something with the lyrics part that just couldn’t fit in for my project. I was thinking maybe to write some lyrics that creates a better vibe with my experience for the mixtape so I started to put some ideas and keywords together and see where it takes me. It just happened that while I was in this process a good friend of mine – Soso – reach out and send me a song he recorded that day. First of all I was amazed because I didn’t knew he sings and write so dope lyrics and second, it was the perfect voice and flow for my project!

I told him about the concept, send him the keywords and the instrumental and I think even in the same or next day he came up with the first part of the lyrics! Second part of the lirycs by the second day and it was done! It just blown my mind because the lirycs was so genius and was matching perfectly with what I had in my mind for the project! After I re-arranged the instrumental we got into the studio to record the lyrics part but I got another surprise when it was clear that we had to use his voice for the chorus as well, because it was sounding so dope! My first idea was to leave the chorus from the original song but.. always go with the flow!

I always create my concepts starting from a personal experience or a connection with the music or a project. I got inspired a lot from Christopher Nolan’s extraordinary movie “Interstellar” because I could easily identify with the journey, the falling, the connection, all of which I used to create the video below by putting together piecies from the movie. This song will be included in my next mixtape “Summer Transformee” which will come out in the late of April.

    Hope you enjoy the video.

    Spotted the yellow connection?

As you may or may not realize by now “I made my debut in ’86” to this so called planet Earth. Since I was a kid I loved music. It showed me a different visual on the things around me. Obviously that led me into dance and the next thing I know, the artistic side of both led me into graphic design and photography.
